31 Day Nail Art Challenge --- Day 10, Gradient

So, today marks the end of my... boring manicures. To end part one of the challenge, I have my gradient nails. The two greens used are Limestone from Sally Hansen and High Line from NYC. As you can see, it's a really subtle gradient, but I love it.

31 Day Nail Art Challenge --- Day 9, Rainbow

For day 9, I painted a RadiD inspired manicure. The colours used are Lime Up from Essence, neon orange from Migi, Blazed from Wet 'N' Wild, hot pink from Migi and Blue Away from Sally Hansen. The black and white are acrylics.

31 Day Nail Art Challenge --- Day 8, Metallic

I'm going easy on most of the challenges in the first section, since they're all mainly inspired by a colour. I'm way more excited for the next two parts of the nail art challenge, since it gets into more detailed manicures. Anyways, for my day 8 manicure, I once again kept it simple with three coats of Pumping Iron from Sally Hansen and an accent nail with gold shatter from OPI.

31 Day Nail Art Challenge --- Day 7, Black and White

My day 7 manicure is actually super simple, but it's a combination of designs that end up looking fantastic together. The black is Black Satin from Rimmel and the white is White On from Sally Hansen. The shatter is the black Mosaic Effect from Avon.

31 Day Nail Art Challenge --- Day 6, Violet

I kept today's manicure simple, since I had to get up early to help with a garage sale. So I went for a polka-dotted accent finger. The purple is Fig from JOE Fresh and the white is White On from Sally Hansen.

31 Day Nail Art Challenge --- Day 5, Blue

I really love my day 5 manicure. It's based on the cover of Eric Walter's book Wave. The blue is Sally Hansen Insta-Dri, Blue-Away and the black and white are acrylic.

31 Day Nail Art Challenge --- Day 4, Green

I'm not a huge fan of my day 4 mani. Partially because it was painted with my left hand, and partially because I rushed it. But, here it is. The green is NYC's High Line Green and the white is White On from Sally Hansen.

31 Day Nail Art Challenge --- Day 3, Yellow

It took me a while to come up with something yellow for my day 3 design. And then it hit me. Why not use something from one of my favourite songs, which happens to have yellow in the title? So, I painted the yellow submarine from the Beatles song, Yellow Submarine. The yellow polish is Art Nouv-Yellow from Finger paints. It's a pretty shimmery yellow, but it's really sheer. It took two coats of White On from Sally Hansen with four coats of Art Nouv-Yellow to get good coverage. The submarine is painted with acrylics.
