Well, it's the most spooktacular day of the year again: Halloween! So I'd like to start by saying happy Halloween, and also feliz Día de Los Muertos, since today kicks off those festivities. My official Halloween day manicure this year resembles mine from last year, which you can see here, but I changed it up a little bit.
The black is Black Satin from Rimmel, and the white is a white French Manicure pen from Sally Hansen. All the details are acrylic. As I mentioned last year, I think Sugar Skulls are quite beautiful, and the whole idea of The Day of the Dead is pretty cool. I like how it's a celebration rather than a scary, gloomy event.
I also happened to make a Sugar Skull drawing. It's all done in Sharpies.
I hope you guys enjoy! Have a fun (and safe) time tonight, whether you're trick-or-treating, at a party, or just relaxing at home! :)
how do you do nails like that? (out of curiosity) :P
ReplyDeleteWell, I used a dotting tool for the polka dots and a tiny brush for the other details. I made the dotting tool myself (you can see my post on dotting tools here http://starfish-onthe-beach.blogspot.ca/2013/03/seeing-spots-or-dots.html). I also tend to use acrylic craft paint for the little details, since it doesn't get tacky when it starts to dry like nail polish does. I hope this answers your question. Let me know though! If you'd like to see a tutorial or something like that, I can make one! :)
DeleteThis is seriously amazing! I love the attention to details!
