The Cherry On Top

I'm really feeling the need to keep painting all these cheery designs. It is spring after all. :) Anyways, today's manicure is cherry inspired.

The base colour is Mellow Yellow from Sally Hansen. Then, I used a dotting tool and red acrylic to make the cherries, and added a black stem using acrylic, and green leaves using High Line Green from NYC.

Okay, that's all for now. Hope you guys enjoy!

Hoppy Easter!

I know, I know. The title for this post is a bad pun, but I couldn't resist. Anyways, time for nail art.

Seeing as it's Easter time, I figured it was a good time to paint Thumper from Bambi. The base is Mint Sorbet from Sally Hansen and Thumper is all acrylic.

Happy Easter!

Spring Nail Art Tutorial

1. Paint three colours on your nails. I used Lime Up! from Essence, Migi nail art yellow and Watermelon from Essie.

2. Apply two white stripes.

3. Add yellow stripes.

4. Add blue stripes (Ogre-the-Top Blue from OPI), layering one over the yellow stripes.

5. Finally, add black dots (Black Satin from Rimmel London). I used a dotting tool I made from a pin and an old pencil, but you can use an actual dotting tool, toothpicks, whatever works for you!

Cherry Blossoms

1. Prep your nails. Then paint on at least two coats of a base colour (I used Revlon Pink Lingerie).

2. Next, paint on the tree branches. ** I sponged on and faded out some white on top of the pink. This is optional. You don't have to do this.

3. Paint in the blossoms in a darker pink colour.

4. Finally, shade and highlight the blossoms and add in the centers with black. Clear coat.
