Pearson, Specter, Litt

Suits, which as many of you now know, is one of my favourite shows, returned on Wednesday. And, for the 3rd time, I decided to paint nails for it.

The base for all nails was Black Leather from China Glaze. Then, I used white acrylic to paint the Suits logo, and Pearson, Specter, Litt? which is the law firm's new name. On my middle finger, I painted the character Louis Litt using black and white acrylic.

Rick Hoffman (aka Louis Litt) ended up seeing my nails and loved them!

Hope you guys enjoy!

Bell Let's Talk

Today is Bell Let's Talk Day in Canada, which as day devoted to raising awareness and breaking the stigma of mental illness. For every text and phone call (for Bell and Bell Align customers), and for every tweet with #BellLetsTalk tomorrow in Canada, Bell donates 5 cents to mental health initiatives. I decided to paint a little nail design to help through my social media.

I painted the Bell Let's talk logo using blue and black acrylic on a base of Sure Thing from Revlon.

So let's do this today guys! If you're in Canada, text, tweet, call, do whatever you can to help! And for those of you outside of Canada, tweet, and spread awareness through word of mouth.

Hope you guys enjoy! Now let's break the stigma.

Tribal Eyes

Hey guys! After about a day of wear with the tribal accent nail, I decided to add some art to my other nails.

The tribal accent nail is left unchanged from last week. Then, the nude base on my pinkie and middle finger is Sheer Nude from Orly, then on the middle finger, I painted an eye using a white striper. I outlined the eye with a black striper, then painted the iris and pupil using blue and black acrylic. Finally, my pointer finger is a base of Sure Thing from Revlon, with a sort of chevron pattern painted using a black striper.

Hope you guys enjoy!

Tribal Vibes

Hey guys! Here's a quick accent nail design I did base on nails that NinaNailedIt did!

I used a base of Blue Away from Sally Hansen, then hairspray water marbled (look this up if you haven't heard of it before, it's so cool!) using Black Leather from China Glaze and then again with Golden Eye from OPI. Finally, I thinly outlined the nail using a black striper and painted the tribal design using a white striper.

Hope you guys enjoy!

Summer, Come Back!

I miss summer. And palm trees... although we don't have those here in Canada, other than maybe some little palm tree house plants. So that's what inspired this design: summer and palm trees.

My pinkie was a base of Sheer Nude from Orly, which I then outlined with a white striper from Stripe Rite. I created a blue gradient using Blue Away from Sally Hansen on my ring finger, then painted palm trees with a black striper, also from Stripe Rite. On my middle finger, I placed studs onto a base of Sheer Nude. Then for my pointer finger, I painted 3/4 of the nail with Blue Away, then painted a palm leaf with the black striper. Finally, I painted stripes using the white striper on a base of Sheer Nude on my thumb.

Anyone else missing summer right now?

Vote Zod

Well, it's starting to look like January has become all about music nail art, with this being my second band inspired design. This design is inspired by the Billy Talent Hits album that came out last year.

As I'm sure you all know by now, I'm a huge Billy Talent fan. You can see my past Billy Talent inspired manicures here, here and here. I fell in love with all the artwork for this album, so it was time for another BT tribute. I started with a base of Black Taxi from Nails Inc. on all of my nails. Then, I sponged on Suzy Loves Cowboys from OPI, Surfing Paradise from Island Girl Hawaii and Sure Thing from Revlon on my ring finger. After that, I painted on the bird's skull and skeleton keys featured on the cover of Hits using black and white acrylic. On my pointer finger, I painted a tie using Revlon Red, which if the name didn't give it away, is from Revlon.  Finally, I added a "Vote Zod" button on the tie with red, blue and white acrylic, which was based off of art for the song Kingdom of Zod.

Hope you guys enjoy!

111 Songs

So the rad dudes from Hollerado released some new music. And as always, I love it. But this time, it's a little different... Basically, they wrote 111 songs. Yeah. 111. That's a lot of songs. But there's a really cool concept behind it, which you can read more about here. Now, along with the first 3 of the 111 songs came the album artwork, created by this guy right here. It's pretty rad too. So rad, in fact, that I painted some nail art of it. Here we go.

I started with a base of Sassy from Revlon. Then, using black, yellow, white and orange acrylic, I painted part of the album artwork.

Hope you guys enjoy!

Happy (Very Belated) New Years

Yes, I realize New Years was almost two weeks ago. I'm a little behind... But hey, better late than never, right? So without further ado, I give you, my New Years nails.

To start it off, I painted my pinkie with Golden Eye from OPI. On my ring finger, I started with a base of Black Taxi from Nails Inc., then dry brushed on Frostbite from China Glaze, Plum Seduction from Revlon and Tomorrow Never Dies from OPI. Finally, I painted on "Happy New Year" with gold acrylic. My middle finger is also a base of Black Taxi, which I then painted fireworks on using Golden Eye, Frostbite and Tomorrow Never Dies. I created a gradient base of Plum Seduction and from Happy Hour from Sephora. Then, using black and white acrylic, I painted the Brooklyn Bridge. Finally, my thumb was a base of Black Taxi followed by painting "2015" using Golden Eye and white acrylic.

Hope your New Years was fun! Here's to the best year yet!
